Vesak Day, also known as Buddha Day, is a significant holiday in Buddhism. It commemorates the birth, enlightenment (nirvana), and death (parinirvana) of Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism. The exact date of Vesak varies according to different Buddhist traditions and calendars, but it typically falls on the full moon day in the month of Vesakha (which usually corresponds to April or May in the Gregorian calendar). 

It's a time for Buddhists to reflect on the teachings of the Buddha and to strive for personal spiritual growth and enlightenment.
